I have been surfing out in front of my studio lately, on the beautiful white snow beaches of Maine.
There has been great swell recently and nobody around....except for a few seals and the occasional lobsterman.
Sometimes when I wake up and check it, I pretend I'm going to paddle out somewhere tropical, and I imagine the beach filled with bikini clad girls all waving at me, drinking fruity drinks and suffering from strap malfunctions and lonliness, I see a sailboat docked out front with some people sipping cosmos on the deck. The skipper yells, "Ty the shrimp are on the grill, it will be another minute before the tuna burgers are done though, and hey the misuse says she can do the massage now or after you finish surfing"........all of which fades quickly on the first duckdive, reminding me that water can actually get hard in this climate.
