This last weekend ma and some of the guys rolled out to Catalina. It was awesome considering none of us had ever been there yet it's so close. We went with the goal of swimming with sharks, through kelp forests and pushing our comfort zone a bit in the ocean. We definitely accomplished all of those things.

Took the first boat over from San Pedro on Saturday morning. We were in the water by 10AM snorkeling and checking everything out. Water visibility was amazing and the temperatures weren't all that bad. We definitely swam through a ton of kelp forests and saw a lot of cool sea life. Came back in, had lunch and then went out again. Swam with a bunch of leapord sharks, saw a horned shark as well as an angel shark. Second goal accomplished.

That night we had dinner and then decided it was time to go for a night snorkel with the underwater flashlights. I personally get a little spooked in the ocean and it was pitch black. We swam through the kelp forests and swam with the now much more active leopard sharks. It was wild and awesome. I can't wait to get back to Catalina in the near future.
